Community Liaison Group

Port of Newcastle’s Community Liaison Group (CLG) provides an opportunity for the community engage with the port, learn about its operations and provide feedback. The group has been meeting regularly since it was established in 2014.

The group’s membership comprises representatives of community, business, industry and government with an interest in the operation of the port.

Meetings are held quarterly and provide a forum for the community to develop a greater understanding of the port and enable two-way communication on matters within Port of Newcastle’s remit.

Your port. our community.

Your Port. Our Community.

In Newcastle, we live, work and play alongside our working harbour. Since the first commercial shipment left the port in 1799, the Port of Newcastle and the City of Newcastle have grown and prospered together.

Port of Newcastle recognises the importance of the port to the community, business, industry and government, and will strive to develop and maintain a strong relationship with all our stakeholders. That’s why we are committed to growing the port’s trade and sharing the benefits with the surrounding community.

Port of Newcastle is pleased to support a range of local organisations and initiatives through its Your Port, Our Community Sponsorship Program. Read more about the sponsorship program.
