Port of Newcastle & Newcastle Jets #BondedbyGold

Port of Newcastle is proud to renew its Major Partnership with the Newcastle Jets.

The Port’s blue and gold logo will feature on the front of the men’s and women’s home kit for the 2022/23 season.

CEO Craig Carmody said Port of Newcastle staff are thrilled to be bonded by gold with the local team again this season, after first signing on as a major partner of the club in 2021/22.

“The Port and the Jets are closely connected to our community, so it’s wonderful to be able to bring two Hunter-based organisations together to not only support one another, but to provide something positive and enjoyable for football fans and local families.

“The Port’s been here for more than 200 years and many may not know that the Port of Newcastle has a long history of supporting football, with some of the first wharfies to work at the Port through the 1900s belonging to social football teams and kicking the ball around after a hard day’s work.

“Today we continue to have a strong workforce of Jets supporters among our Port of Newcastle team who will be cheering on both the men’s and women’s sides from the sidelines this season.”

Newcastle Jets Executive Chairman Shane Mattiske said it’s great to again have Port of Newcastle on board as a Major Partner of both the men’s and women’s A-League teams.

The club is very pleased to know that we have the continued support of a great sponsor and importantly an organisation that makes a strong contribution to this region here in Newcastle and throughout Northern NSW.
