Port of Newcastle was advised of an industrial fire at its Kooragang 2 berth at Walsh Point this morning. Emergency services are currently on site and responding to the incident.

Port of Newcastle was advised of an industrial fire at its Kooragang 2 berth at Walsh Point this morning. Emergency services are currently on site and responding to the incident.
Port of Newcastle has notified the NSW Environmental Protection Authority and Work Safe NSW.
At this stage, the Kooragang 2 berth remains closed. No injuries have been reported.
Safety is our first priority and we are conducting a thorough investigation.
