Date: 22 June 2017

CPP - Round 1 2017
Port of Newcastle continues to expand the reach of its Community Partnerships Program, with 50 applications received in the latest call for funding applications.

Seven new partners shared in $66,000 of awarded funding as part of the latest round, along with nine organisations Port of Newcastle was proud to continue its support of.
From the Lambton Waratah Scouts to Nobbys Surf Life Saving Club, Port of Newcastle is proud to support a broad range of causes - all with the common theme of making the City of Newcastle and its surrounding suburbs a great place to live, work and play for local residents.
Port of Newcastle's CEO, Geoff Crowe, said Port of Newcastle's Community Partnerships Program was established in 2014 to share the benefits of trade growth with the surrounding community.
"Each year the Port directly invests $1.25 million via the Newcastle Port Community Partnerships Program ($250,000) and provides an additional $1 million to the NSW Government for the Newcastle Port Community Contribution Fund."
"As a local team, we are proud to continue supporting the tremendous contribution local groups and organisations make to our community," said Geoff.
